No other steaks can ever compare! We reserved a table in advance and made sure to reserve the ultimate cut of meat: the dry aged beef. That was like no other. So succulent and flavorful. I was surprised to be satisfied after 2 pieces. I let my husband eat the rest!

If you want to have Kobe beef while being in Japan/Kobe, go here. Lorelie, the spouse of the owner is amazing. She has also the patience in the world to explain everything to you. She will also not sell you on the highest price but make sure that you have the best experience. The beef is prepared in front of your eyes and simply amazing. Enjoy!

Lunch special available. Regular menu has selections of different grade beef, cuts, and offals. English menu available. Located 25 minutes train ride from Kobe downtown, at Tarumi Station. Located on 2F, narrow stairway to entrance. No child seat available. Child cutlery available. Accepts credit card.

Best meat meal I’ve ever had. Though the Kobe beef wasn’t cheap (about 16,500 Yen for 100g) it was definitely a whole new kind of food experience. We took combination of several recommended cuts, most of them was as tasty as the Kobe and were much more cheaper (7000 yen for 350g approx). The deserts and appetizers are valuable and extremely tasty.A must visit restaurant if hanging around Kobe!

Incredible - the experience was everything we expected and then some. Although this is the first and only Kobe beef restaurant we've visited, it exceeded all expectations. The food and service was incredible, and we even got to speak to the owner. He was incredibly welcoming and humble and was a pleasure to be around. Highly recommended.

The best Kobe experience we could have had! The beef is exquisite and there are many cuts to fit every taste. They explained (in English) each type of cut and the best grilling techniques. The beef truly melts in your mouth, it is beyond delicious. We also enjoyed the recommended sake which paired perfectly with our meal. The service was also excellent, and they accept credit cards which is a plus.

Best beef selection I've ever tasted in my life. Kobe beef is the best one, and also the marble steak is so good. We ordered 1 menu set, Kobe beef, and Mizayaki A5 Beef. All are really good. We recommend you to try the authentic Kobe Beef in this restaurant. One of the best part is also their service. Very good service and nice people.

Absolutely amazing. Went there with two of my friends expecting a wait, but we were seated instantly. Our server spoke wonderful English, and was very helpful. He even walked us through all the cuts of meat we had ordered (see the picture). By the end, the only disappointment we found was that he couldn’t accept a tip! The meat was amazing; some of the best we had ever had. While I was no stranger to yakiniku, it’s always a ton of fun to cook it yourself. Can not recommend this place enough. Worth every penny.

Love the grilled Kobe beef. Simply out of this world.

This restaurant was amazing!! The food was spectacular. Great service, too! We had the set that came with several different cuts of beef, and we added rice and salad, and got the cheese.plate as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. It was our anniversary so we got dessert, which said happy anniversary in Japanese written in chocolate. If you're in the area, do not miss La Shomon!!

Brilliant dry aged beef! The selection of Kobe beef was limited to the lean cut when we went but we ordered it and we're blown away nonetheless. Their dry-aged wagyu is to die for and better than any equivalent I've tried in the UK. A great lunch and well-worth the visit!

Best place to eat wagyu. Value menu cuts is not worth it.Marbelized to lean :- sirloin steak- he-re- lean steak.Lean steak quality depends of the cut, go for sirloin and he-re.

La Shomon was GREAT! Their Kobe beef was real good. When we were in Japan for two weeks we ate a lot Kobe and Nagasaki beef and La Shomon was the best. Their staff was also wonderful. We could not make it for lunch because we where stuck at Mt. Rokko, but they kindly rebooked us for dinner. We love Mika, Aoi, and Mariko; they made our experience eating Japan's world famous beef much more pleasurable.

An English-friendly high quality eatery with many options for some amazing premium beef. They also offer a good selection of alcohol and sides to keep the pallette fresh. Friendly and efficient staff will guide you to a heavenly meal. Picture is of the Yume set.

The best beef and Kobe I've had in my life! Be sure to come early or pre order the aged beef. Thank you for a wonderful experience. You can make reservations online or via email.

Amazing Kobe beef experience! Would highly recommend getting the aged Kobe beef, if it’s available. The staff are very attentive and friendly too. They do accept credit card, so no worries about spending a tremendous amount of cash here.

We read the reviews and gave this place a try. We tried Kobe Beef tenderloin and Dry age beef as recommended by many people. We liked the Kobe beef, but the age dry is too fattening. Dinner for 2 is 25,000 Yens without beverage.

Fantastic boke beef and wagyu beef!

Been there twice over the past 3 years. Great food both times and incredible quality on the meat as well as the service. Will pay them a visit once I get back to japan again!

Awesome platter! Had the gourmet set! So good, it makes me Wana stay there the whole day to slowly saviour each piece of meat slowly! Felt like I was floating on joy when I left the restaurant!
Vanessa
No words to describe how good the meat was. I loved the staff that explained all the meats clearly to us. If I’m Kobe I would definitely pay them a visit because it’ll be worth it

Amazing beef! English speaking staff and menu helps a lot too. We would recommend the chefs set (~5500 yen for two people) which is the best daily cuts showcasing a variety of marbling, flavour and textures. Would come again and definitely worth a short train ride from Kobe. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Absolutely the best beef I have had in my life. Great service, really worth the extra trip to Kobe

Oh. My. Beef This place has delicious Wagyu . Kobe and Yamazaki varieties feature. You can find that in Japan, sure, but this place also has a great atmosphere and decor, and top notch staff who are ultra helpful. They even speak English, have English menus, and will walk you through each part of the cow you are grilling up. Come here with your best company only (don't screw it up!)

We were so delighted by this meal. We got the famous set and a mix of dry aged and Kobe beef along with a salad and kimchee. The dry aged beef was incredible - we will dream about it! The combination of the set and the dry aged and Kobe allowed us to try a lot of different cuts. We then ordered dessert, which was an incredible fudgey chocolate cake. This meal was so worth the visit from Osaka. We would recommend it to anyone! Also, the ability to make an online reservation and the close proximity to the JR train made it very easy! Staff were very friendly and made it an awesome dinner!

Nothing will ever compare to your meal here. Absolutely amazing and the most memorable trip ever.Knowing nothing will compare will plague your mind until you make the trek back. And we did a year and a half later. Just as great as our last trip. Continuous amazing service and food.

One of the my favourite yakinuku restaurant in the Kansai area. The waygu cuts are excellent and the price is very reasonable (my family of 4 enjoyed a very filling dinner just under 20000 yen)
Teofebano Kristo
Delicious food with family. Pricey but worth every penny. Tried both of the beginner packages, yume no seto and gourmet set. The waitress patiently explained to us every single meat that they serve. This is one of the must go places in Japan. 1 additional point is because its location that's only 2 mins walk from train station

This is a fantastic restourant if you want to try the famous kobe/wagyu beef. The price is not high at all, but the quality of the meat is superlative. The staff is very kind and they have also an english menu. My advice is to try the gourmet set, composed by a lot of different pieces chosen by the chef.

What a treat! We enjoyed a great day at the beach and sites (bridge, sun yat sen memorial) then walked over to La Shomon for dinner. Nice comfortable atmosphere, super knowledgeable and friendly English speaking staff (Lauralee). Well chosen wine pairings. Wagyu and Kobe beef sure - but also try the veggies and the more adventurous meats (tongue with lemon, 4th stomach). A real find, definitely worth the trip.

We left the message of celebrating the marriage date on the booking information, and owner gave us a thoughtful small surprise!

We had a fantastic meal with just as much flavor as there was kindness from the staff. We made a reservation by phone (facebook message also works) and enjoyed a set lunch meal that was very tasty. Reasonably priced, and very easy to get to (next to the JR station). Recommended!
John Bui
Fantastic beef, courteous and professional staff, highly recommended! English menu available.

Can a restaurant change your life?? Yes it can. Yes it did. How am I supposed to eat beef or steak after this?? Every bite of Kobe was a memorable experience that oozes fatty flavor and coats your mouth with a pleasure like no other. Only spend 100$ for this wonderful experience. If you are in Osaka or Kyoto or anywhere near, MAKE THE TRIP

Had a GREAT server who happen to be the owners son. He was very charming and would request his help again as he is fluent in Japanese and English, which made picking what delicious food to pick and eat so much more fun and informed. He definitely should he given a raise for the amount of work he dose to make ALL customers welcomed. 10/10 also don't forget to sign the guest book! It was great to look at while finishing our salter milk icecream 💕
